Privacy

The short version

TEEEMPUS sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, which is why there's no cookie banner. We count visits with two analytics services that run on our own servers and don't identify you. When a buy button takes you to a shop, that shop's privacy policy applies there.

What we collect

The pages, fonts and watch photos all come from teeempus.com itself. The fonts are copied into the site when we build it, so they aren't loaded from Google. Reading a page makes no request to Google or any other outside company. The only other addresses your browser contacts are our two analytics services, and they run on the same servers as the site.

Those servers are rented from Hetzner in Helsinki, Finland. Like any web server, ours receives your IP address, because it needs one to send you the page.

The first analytics service is Plausible, at plausible.moonlighting.dev. It counts visits without identifying people. Plausible's documented method combines your IP address and browser details with a random value that changes every day and turns them into a one-way code (a hash). The IP address itself isn't stored. It records:

• the pages you view and the site that sent you here
• your country, and the type of device, browser and operating system you use
• clicks on links to other sites, with the link's address
• for a buy button, which watch it was for and, for Amazon, whether the link opened a product page or a search
• clicks on a guide's quick-pick links, with the watch's name
• visits to pages that don't exist

The second is OpenPanel, at openpanel.moonlighting.dev. It's cookieless too, keeps nothing on your device, and tells visitors apart the same way, by a hash of IP address and browser with a value that changes daily. It records the pages you view, the site that sent you, and the same visits to missing pages. From your IP address and browser it also works out your country and city, and the type of device, browser and operating system.

What we don't do

• We don't set cookies or use your browser's local or session storage.
• We don't show ads or load any outside company's tracking scripts.
• We don't have accounts, so there's nothing to sign up for.
• We don't see what you do on other sites.

When you leave the site

The buy buttons take you to other companies' sites: Amazon, Chrono24 and the watchmakers' own sites, and other shops later. A Chrono24 link can pass through Awin's tracking address, awin1.com, on the way. Once you're there, their own privacy policies apply, not this one.

Amazon links let your browser tell Amazon that you came from teeempus.com. Amazon and Awin may set cookies on their own sites so that a sale is credited to us. They report sales to us without your name or any other personal details.

If you write to support@teeempus.com, we use your message and the address it came from only to reply to you.

Your rights

You can ask what personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to support@teeempus.com. Because we don't identify visitors, in practice that usually only applies to emails you've sent us.
